Alfred Eckart

Biography

Books, posters, publicity. Born 5 March 1908 in Hof/Saale. 1927-9: studied textile design at the Kunstschule für Textilindustrie Plauen. 1930-34; director of the Hamburg office of Gestetner (London). From 1934: freelanced for publishers and industrial firms. Won numerous prizes for his advertising work. Died 11 May 1998 in Überlingen/Bodenseekreis.
