Gerd Grimm

Biography

Book jackets, posters. Born 20 October 1911 in Karlsruhe. 1929-31; student at the Staatliche Akademie der bildenden Künste, Karlsruhe: a teacher was Wilhelm Schnarrenberger. 1931-2: studied at the Karlsruhe Kunstgewerbeschule; one of his teachers was Max Körner. 1932-3: studied at the Berlin Hochschule der bildenden Künste with O.H.W. Hadank. From 1934: freelance, and later worked in France, England and the USA.
