Biography
Born 2 July 1921 in Leipzig. Military service which ended, April 1945, with Tag wounded and a prisoner of war in Romania. From 1947: studied at the Leipzig Staatliche Akademie für Graphik und Buchkunst, then at the Berlin-Weissensee Hochschule für bildende und angewandte Kunst. 1951-4: worked for a Berlin publisher; lectured at the Berlin Volkshochschule. From 1955: freelance designer.
