Harald Gutschow

Biography

Born 1912 in Berlin. Studied at Reimannschule, Berlin, with Max Hertwig, and the Staatlichen Hochschule der bildenden Künste, Berlin, where his teachers included Ernst Böhm and O.H.W. Hadank. After military service he worked in an advertising agency in Copenhagen for several years. He then moved to Düsseldorf where he was art director in an agency. From 1954: freelance. From 1955: taught commercial art at the Folkwangschule, Essen.
