Henry Ehlers

Biography

Publicity, posters. Born 9 December 1897 in Aachen. 1914/15: studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Munich: a teacher was Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke. 1916-18: military service, then freelanced. 1928-38: designed publicity displays for the Munich department store chain Bamberger & Hertz. 1939-45: military service. 1945: lived in Walchstadt am Wörthsee. Died 5 February 1988 in Munich.
