Hermann Cossmann

Biography

Born 23 November 1884 in Neuss. 1904-10: studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Düsseldorf; a teacher was Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke. 1912-15: freelanced. 1915-18: military service. 1918-20: freelanced. 1920-50: taught at the Gewerblichen Berufsschule, Neuss. 1928: worked with Ehmcke on designs for PRESSA, the international exhibition held in Cologne that year. Worked on the journal Schrift und Schreiben (Bonn). Died 1966.
