Biography

Posters. Born 24 February 1889 in Munich. From 1910: studied at the Munich Kunstgewerbeschule: a teacher was Julius Diez; further studies at the Munich Akademie. 1934: won 1 st and 2 nd prizes in poster competition for the tercentenary of the Ober-Ammergau Passion Play. Member of the art group Die Zwölf (The 12). Taught lettering at the Meisterschule für das deutsche Malerhandwerk, Munich. Died 15 October 1948 in Munich
