Walter Müller

Biography

Posters, publicity, book jackets. Born 1919. 1936-?: studied at the Höhere Fachschule für das graphische Gewerbe, Stuttgart: a teacher was Walter Jacobs. He then studied commercial art at the Staatliche Hochschule für bildende Künste, Berlin-Charlottenburg: teachers included Kämpf and O.H.W. Hadank. 1941: moved to Vienna where he was involved to 1943 with the Akademie für angewandte Kunst. 1945-8: ran an advertising agency. 1949: founded the Atelier Plan+Form. Late 1940s: awarded several prizes in poster competitions.
