Ulrik Baron von Wrangell

Biography

Posters, typography, illustrations. Born 7 March 1909 in Weissenstein. Studied to 1933 at the Akademie der bildenden Künste, Berlin. Graphic designer in Berlin, working for industrial clients such as Mercedes-Benz. Won a prize for the poster for the film Bismarck . 1939-43: art director of the journal Signal. Died 11 March 1944 (of a ‘wound’: military service? bombing raid?) in Nikolaev.
