Bodo Rasch

Biography

Born 17 February 1903 in Elberfeld. 1922-6: studied agriculture; worked as a carpenter. 1922-30: with brother Heinz, produced, edited and designed publications on exhibitions, architecture, interior design. 1926-30: architect in Stuttgart (with Heinz). 1932-3: editor of Stuttgarter Wochenspiegels. 1933-4: editor of the cultural magazine Zirkel. Numbers 1-5 were ready to be published July 1933, but numbers 4 and 5 were seized at the printer. Number 6 (Grossrelais, 1970) concerned town planning; number 7 (fünf kritiken); number 8 (kreuzverhör, 1970) reproduced correspondence BR had c1933 with Gropius, Schwitters, Tschichold and others. 1995: died in Oberaichen. His son, also named Bodo, born 1943.
