Julius Ussy Engelhardt

Biography

Posters, journal covers. Born 18 August 1883 in Bindjey, Sumatra. Student of Franz von Stuck at the Munich Akademie. His early style was influenced by Ludwig Hohlwein. Worked on the journal Simplicissimus, sport and fashion magazines including Elegante Welt, and posters for films. Member of the Neuen Vereinigung Münchener Plakatkünstler. Died 13 December 1964 in Munich.
